The beach for the disabled is decorated and ready for the season, while all other beaches will be closed to the public because they are located within the construction site.

With the beginning of the season, a beach for people with disabilities was opened on the Žnjan plateau. It will also be the only beach on the plateau that will be available for use this season, given that all other beaches are within the scope of the construction site where work is being carried out, and access to unauthorized persons is not allowed.

The beach for people with disabilities is now well-equipped and supervised to ensure safety and accessibility. Lifeguards are on duty, and trained assistants are available to assist individuals with disabilities. The lift for people with disabilities is connected to the electricity supply and is ready for use. Floating psychological barriers have been installed to delineate the monitored sea area, and additional amenities include a toilet cabin adapted for disabled use, a changing cabin, a shower, and available parasols. The protective fences have been repaired. Currently, the installation of ladders for sea access is underway, with training in progress. These ladders are expected to be operational by the end of the week.

Currently, the beach for people with disabilities can be accessed from the east, via Put Duilova in the direction of the Zagreb Hotel. The access route includes a portion along Pape Ivana Pavla II Street, transitioning to a well-maintained dirt road at the base of Strabag, which leads directly to the beach. By mid-July, it is anticipated that one lane of the road from the Tommy store to the Amphora hotel will be asphalted. This improvement will allow access to the beach from the west side via Velebitska Street, subject to traffic regulations.

  • The company Žnjan d.o.o. kindly requests that individuals who do not have disabilities consider using other beaches in Split and the surrounding area. This will help ensure that the beach designed for people with disabilities remains available for those it is primarily intended for, as their options are more limited. The company appreciates everyone’s understanding and cooperation.

The company Žnjan d.o.o. reiterates its appeal to all citizens and visitors to strictly adhere to the prohibition of access to the beaches within the construction site. The construction area is physically fenced off, and there is a substantial amount of machinery in operation. Compliance with these regulations is essential to avoid any potential hazards or health risks. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated to ensure safety and the smooth progress of the project.
