ŽNJAN FROM ABOVE: See what the large Split construction site looks like in aerial shots

The biggest work is currently on the excavations for the garage, and the preparatory work for the installation of the diving board has started.

A little more than a month after the introduction of the contractor to the work, work is going on at full speed on the Žnjan plateau, in several locations. The entire field has been turned into a construction site, and the biggest work is currently on the wide excavations for the garage, where the work is progressing at the desired pace, despite the large number of rainy days in the past period, during which it is not possible to work. In addition to excavations for the garage, trial excavations are also being carried out at other locations, primarily at the location where the amphitheater will be located.

The news is that intensive work has begun on the preparatory work on the foundation of two diving boards. For this purpose, the existing shoals, coastal fortifications made of rocks under the sea are being rearranged so that the drilling of piles on the coast will be possible at that location. These piles will later become the foundations of the aforementioned diving board, and during this process no additional material is poured along the coast.

- In parallel with the above-mentioned works, the relocation of the trees was also completed, which turned out to be a demanding undertaking, but it was also successfully completed according to the previously prepared plan. In this way, I want to thank the citizens because our appeals not to enter the construction site bore fruit, and now we are discussing exceptions. An even greater intensity of work follows; there are dozens of trucks and machines on the plateau every day, and we cannot stress how important it is that citizens respect the signage, primarily for their own safety, concluded Zoran Jakelić, project manager of the Žnjan plateau arrangement from the city company Žnjan.
