The excavation work has been completed, and the ground has been reinforced across nearly the entire site where necessary, marking a significant milestone in the development of Split's beloved swimming pool. With the foundation now secure, the project has entered a new phase, bringing the vision of an enhanced and modernized facility closer to reality. This progress is eagerly anticipated by the community, as the swimming pool holds a special place in the hearts of many residents, promising to be a revitalized hub for recreation, sports, and social gatherings once the development is fully realized.

Additionally, the foundations and preparations for the construction of the pillars for the solar canopy have been completed, along with the foundation work for the Phase 3 facility. These advancements mark an important milestone in the transformation of Split’s favorite beach, moving it closer to becoming a revitalized, modern space for the community.

At the site of the future amphitheater on the Žnjan plateau, significant groundwork has been accomplished. The strip foundations have been deepened, and the soil has been strengthened to ensure a stable base for the upcoming structure. Concurrently, work is progressing on the sewerage system, with manholes and pipes being installed along the designated route. In addition to these developments, all remaining objects on the plateau have been cleared, paving the way for the continued construction and transformation of this key area in Split.

From the company Žnjan d.o.o., the project manager, they pointed out that all works are proceeding in accordance with the foreseen dynamic plan.

  • It is very important to say that the most sensitive and demanding part of the work, namely the replacement and strengthening of the soil, has been successfully completed. This is a part of the work that should have been done with a special dose of caution, because we are still talking about terrain that is next to the sea, so it is extremely important for all future buildings that the bearing capacity of the terrain is correct. The construction site is a living tissue, there are challenges every day, but we coordinate well among different projects and contractors, said Zoran Jakelić, project manager for the improvement of the Žnjan plateau from the city company Žnjan.
