Split city day celebration SUDAMJA 2024

Celebration of the day of the City of Split and the patron saint of St. Dujma this year was richer than ever!

Several tens of thousands of people paraded through the city streets, squares and Riva, reminding all the inhabitants of Split and the county of the togetherness and joy of celebrating together.

Never longer, never richer and never more diverse program, at over 30 locations in Grad pod Marjan, was recorded and preserved in the aftermovie as a reminder of how the people of Split really hold on to their traditions and values that make this city what it is.

New generations bring freshness and something new, but the essence always remains the same: "There is no Split until Split!"

The City of Split (official website), the Tourist Board of the City of Split, Visit Split and Žnjan d.o.o., would like to thank all the partners who supported the organization of the richest, largest and most visited Sudamje so far!

And in particular, they thank all fellow citizens for the love they showed towards preserving tradition and returning shushur to the city center during this biggest and most important joint manifestation for the city.

If you missed all the fun, check out how it was!
The highlight of Sudamja was the concert by Petr Grašo on the crowded Split waterfront.

The market was tight for everyone who wanted the powerful vocals of @4tenor, who bridges the boundaries of different genres and connects all generations!

From 'Pisme Splitu', all the way to 'Delilah' and 'Time to say goodbye', these perfectly tuned voices were wholeheartedly supported by the Split audience, which, it seemed, would stay with the 4 Tenors until the morning.
The popular Grše and Vojko V, who usually fill clubs around Lijepa naša, filled the waterfront, and their performance was a real hit for our younger audience.
The fantastic Natali Dizdar prepared a great daily warm-up before the evening show on the Riva!

The people of Split will long remember ten days of the best festival in the city under Marjan.

Sudamja has confirmed itself as an exceptional social event with a rich cultural and entertainment program with the participation of both the people of Split and the city's guests.

The city is proud that under its patronage, and with the exceptional support of partners and sponsors, such a successful program of events, concerts and gatherings was realized.

An especially big thank you to the citizens and guests of the city who joined and celebrated with us the beauty and importance of Split.

We happily wish the next even better Sudamje festival in 2025.

If that's even possible :)

Sudamja 2024: A Visual Celebration of Innovation and Heritage

Each year, the official visual for “Sudamja” captures not just the essence of the event, but also a significant theme relevant to the city’s leadership, its citizens, or current global issues. This year’s poster, created by our award-winning designer @Stjepko Rošin, embodies the theme of “Smart City” and the contemporary relevance of artificial intelligence (AI).

Rošin’s design masterfully integrates the familiar elements of a computer desktop with the historical architecture of Split. The poster features Diocletian’s Palace represented as the central processor—highlighting its pivotal role as the city’s historic and cultural core. This imagery illustrates how the ancient city’s heritage continues to drive modern innovation and identity.

Rošin elaborates, “Diocletian’s Palace, like a processor, is the central engine powering the city from antiquity to today. It symbolizes origin, strength, and identity. The bishop’s staff is also incorporated into the design, reinforcing the connection between historical roots and contemporary advancements.”

Through this visual, the poster not only celebrates the vibrancy of “Sudamja 2024” but also reflects on how historical landmarks like Diocletian’s Palace continue to influence and inspire the city’s evolution into a smart, forward-thinking urban center.
