\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSix months into the improvement works on the \u017dnjan plateau, one of the most significant projects set to transform this part of Split, the construction is progressing rapidly. The future appearance of what is anticipated to become a favorite meeting spot for both residents and visitors is becoming clearer with each passing day. Work on all planned facilities is ongoing, and the concrete work on the garage\u2014the most complex aspect of the project\u2014is nearing its final phase. Once this is completed, efforts will shift to the upper floor’s playground and interior decoration.\r\n\r\nThe concreting of the garage floor slab has been fully completed, and the ceiling slab and superstructure columns are currently being poured. The western diving board has been positioned using a specialized pushing technique, and preparations are underway for the same process on the eastern diving board. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe work on the \u017dnjan plateau is progressing as planned, despite encountering some minor challenges, which are to be expected with a project of this scale. Alongside the construction of the garage, several other operations require meticulous preparation and planning. One such operation is the pushing of the diving board above the sea, a task completed with the western board, while preparations are now underway for the eastern diving board.\r\n\r\nAs the redevelopment of the \u017dnjan Plateau commenced, an extensive analysis of the existing greenery was conducted, revealing that two-thirds of the trees on the plateau could be preserved. These trees were either retained in their current locations or carefully relocated, in partnership with the city company Parkovi i nasadi. Once the redevelopment is complete, the area will benefit from the addition of 730 new trees and palms, along with 12,815 native shrubs and perennials.\r\n\r\nThe landscaping strategy for \u017dnjan has been thoughtfully planned to ensure the space is usable year-round. The selection of greenery is designed to offer shade and protection during the hot summer months, while allowing for more sunlight exposure during the winter. Mature trees and greenery will be planted to provide an immediate impact, although the full aesthetic and environmental benefits of this greenery will unfold gradually, with its peak potential anticipated in about ten years.\r\n\r\nboard. In the coming period, construction on the amphitheatre will also commence.\r\n\r\nZoran Jakeli\u0107, head of works for the company Znjan, expressed gratitude to the citizens for largely respecting the requests to avoid entering the construction site. “I think that over time, everyone has realised the long-term benefits this project will bring to the people of Split, and that it pays to have a little patience,” Jakeli\u0107 said.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe rest of the buildings on the \u017dnjan plateau are at various stages of completion, with most having finished the floor concrete work. Construction of walls and columns is now underway. Notably, the European Fund for Regional Development recently announced a call for direct grant funding for the strategic ITU project of the Split Urban Agglomeration\u2014specifically for the “Renovation of the \u017dnjan Plateau.” Upon completing the necessary procedures, the \u017dnjan company will secure \u20ac14 million in grants for the project. This funding will allow the City of Split to meet all the conditions required to utilize the approved European Investment Bank (EIB) loan, supporting the largest urban transformation project in Split.\r\n\r\nYou can watch the latest video showing the progress of the construction site here:\r\n\r\n
